SACRED PATH

This class is based on the Sacred Paths Yoga School methodology and sequences.

Class begins with a 20 minute meditation, where basic meditation techniques will be explained and explored.  Over time participants will notice what is initially a difficult task of 20 minute stillness, will become achievable and even easy.

Meditation is followed by a yoga practice based on the (7) Asana Series developed by Sacred Paths Yoga.  This methodology allows for predictability and consistency, and will appeal to the practitioner who prefers a simple, uncomplicated practice.

HATHA MULTI LEVEL

Hatha Flow allows the practitioner to safely bend, twist, stretch and tone the entire body while working through a series of traditional postures. With a focus on breath (pranayama), a daily theme and intention is interwoven into this class taught half standing, and half on the floor.

This class will leave you feeling positive, lighter and more energized.

Instructor will give options and adjustments for differing levels of experience.

This healing Hatha flow is great for all levels, moving at a slower pace than a Vinyasa flow. This class focuses on the breath and alignment, balancing the masculine and feminine energies in our body. Ending in a Reiki infused sound bath  shavasana, that will have you floating through the rest of your day.

In this class, you will explore an array of meditation experiences including sounding, dynamic movement as well as more traditional-style approaches to practice. Drawing from the wisdom contained within many meditative cultures, all practices in this class will assist the participant in developing a steady moment-to-moment consciousness, internal balance, and an enhanced mind-body connection.

Community hatha

Yoga should be accessible to everyone, free from financial inaccessibility.
At TRIBEspace we are attempting to give everyone the opportunity to practice yoga by providing a Community Class.
This class is taught by a more recently certified yoga instructor, does not require a membership.
The drop in fee for this class is $15.

In this class Jordana will break down the basics of the yoga asanas to help you fine tune the shapes to suit your unique body, and explain the exercise physiology behind the ‘yoga’ movements.
While normally we practice silence in the sacred practice room, but for this class questions are welcome to create an educational opportunity that will grow everyone’s practice, and give those type A’s a little something to grab onto, to encourage adherence.
Jordana has an extensive background in exercise science and yoga anatomy, and will put concepts into basic layman’s terms that will enhance your practice with understanding.

This class is paced slow and steady and is designed to be a meditative journey.
You will start with a guided meditation & Pranayama (breathing) to wake up the body and bring clarity to the mind.
Presence will be the focus of this class as we hold poses for longer, and enjoy the release and surrender of each breath. This class will be very rejuvenating and relaxing.

This class is designed to assist you in feeling a sense of freedom within the body and the mind.
You will begin with an uplifting meditation and grounding pranayama (breath) to set the tone for the flow.
During the flow you will focus on releasing stagnancy within the body and the mind as you gently build on each pose, cultivating more balance, stability and strength. We hold poses for longer as you focus on releasing anything that does not serve you through each exhale.

Vinyasa

This class is incorporates components of both Ashtanga and Hatha styles, and will vary based on the instructor. Vinyasa  is the action of flowing through the asanas with transitional movements guided by the breath. Vinyasa will carry the participant through varied sequences that are designed to be challenging and satisfying to all levels of practice. Minor modifications to traditional postures, and modicums of spiritual inspiration will bring a feeling of modernity to a traditional practice.

Instructors will give options and adjustments for differing levels of experience.

ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE

This is a Warm to Hot Class depending on time of day.  (early and late warm, hotter midday/early evening)

 Yin along with sound healing is a precious opportunity to go within and re-align your orientation.  An opportunity to access the peaceful, quiet and restorative part of your nature, even in the midst of everyday chaos. 

Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into your mind, and the sensations in your emotional and physical body. Postures are held for a longer period of time which helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Leave feeling nourished, grounded, clear and connected.

HOT HITT

This HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL WEIGHT TRAINING class is Yogic is nature in that it’s intention is to challenge the body and the mind.  Taking the participant to levels of cardiovascular and muscular exertion that will call on personal will and the desire to overcome obstacles – it will challenge the preconceived notions of what one believes they are capable of at the same time increasing fitness and muscle tone.

Based on Jordana’s extensive training experience, the classes will be structurally and physiologically sound, with an emphasis on learning proper form and cross training for strength in yoga.

The intensity and level of difficulty of the class can be adapted to every participant based on modifying pace and weights. 

This class is Warm, but will feel Hot due to the activity level.
